Don't be afraid

LumiYah

🕊️ Coming soon

This song is in the works — it will soon be available on all platforms.

A worship song about the peace of Jesus’ presence holding us steady through every storm.

When the waves rise high and the boat begins to shake, fear searches for a voice. Yet Jesus is near, speaking peace into the wind and into the heart. His hands hold us close through the storm. The sky may not clear at once, and the waters may still roar. But His presence is enough when we cannot see the shore. 🕊️ The song teaches that Christ’s promise is not freedom from storms, but His faithful presence within them. He sees every fear before it takes shape and never leaves us alone. With Jesus in the boat, even the storm becomes a testimony to His power.

🎤 Lyrics — Don't be afraid

Show lyrics

Couplet

The storm was shaking their boat
You were sleeping as the waves rolled high
But when they cried out in their fear
You rose and spoke: “Peace, be still!”

Pré-refrain

I hear You speak those words again
“Don't be afraid, I'm here with you”
No storm can ever escape Your gaze
You knew my fear before it began

Refrain

Don't be afraid
I am here with you
Through the storm, I'm holding you close
Don't be afraid
My presence is enough
Whatever you're going through
I'll walk through it with you

Couplet

The promise is not a stormless life
But that You're with us through it all
With Jesus in the boat, the storm
Becomes a testimony to Your power

Pont

I may not understand this storm
But I know that You are here
Your presence in the face of fear
Means more than calm and windless skies
Your presence is enough

Parlé

He is here! (He is here!)
Through the storm! (Through the storm!)
Don't be afraid! (Don't be afraid!)
He's holding us! (He's holding us!)

Refrain final

Don't be afraid
I am here with you
Through the storm, I'm holding you close
Don't be afraid
My presence is enough
Whatever you're going through
I'm going through it with you

Refrain final

Don't be afraid… Jesus is here…
He is here…
